What is Competency and Why it matters.

 

Competency is the ability of a person to undertake a task (that requires both skills and knowledge) in a range of situations over time. The skills and knowledge and the ability to undertake these in the workplace altogether is a competency. These may be based on national standards and training packages and/or your specific requirements.
